HOW TO WASH:
•Hand Wash is recommended, Fill a bucket or sink with cold water no warmer than 30ºC (86ºF). Add a teaspoon or less of mild laundry detergent. Use your hand to mix the soap in the water. Turn inside out & place your beanie in the water and move it around for 5 minutes.
•For a Machine wash, to avoid excessive stretching, pop your beanie in a laundry bag and use the lowest temperature possible – less than 30ºC (86ºF) – and a hand-wash or gentle cycle with similar colours. The laundry bag will prevent your beanie from snagging in the machine. Always air dry afterwards.
Behind the design.
Here’s our take on the current beanie wave.
We wanted to make something that would class as an accessory, but the little details make it enough to be a staple piece for any outfit.
Made with the fuzziest knit yarn around, these give the beanies a cozy and warm aesthetic for the winter and spring season.
People usually associate knitted clothing with irritation and itchiness to the skin, and in this case we raised the question of “will it mess up with hair?”
The solution? We lined the inside on the beanie with the same material used in durags, bonnets and other hair protection accessories, SATIN.
“PWRD BY GRACE” means that we can do anything we set our minds to when we are Fuelled by God’s love and hope for us. Whether we are creatives, or inspirations or providers, we all have strength and confidence in what we do because of HIS Grace.
“Crown & Nails” print depicts what they used to painfully clothe Jesus on his final day before he died.
We symbolise this, as it’s the torture and unjust punishment he took for us so that we would not endure ourselves despite our sin.
We took inspiration from Fashion in France in which they made wearing beanies and wooly hats in the S/S season ICONIC. This inspired us to use the French translation of the colours for our own;
- Gris (Grey)
- Noir (Black)
- Brun (Brown)
More colour variations and patterns on the way.
